PharmaMBAOnline Overview
An Innovative Online Master’s Degree Program

The University of Florida College of Pharmacy and Stetson University School of Business Administration are working together to create new opportunities for students interested in master’s options in pharmacy business. Under a new partnership between the schools, students can earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Stetson University and a Master of Science in Pharmacy (MSPharm) from the University of Florida with a concentration in pharmaceutical business.
All courses are taught online. Fall and Spring semester courses are 7 weeks in length. Summer courses are 6 weeks in length. There is no thesis required for these online master’s degrees. There is a mandatory comprehensive final exam that must be taken in residence before the degrees can be awarded. Students may complete the online program in the standard 3 year period, or they may take up to 7 years to complete the program.
Applicants must apply separately to UF and to Stetson. The GRE is required for admission to the UF program (it can be waived for applicants with a doctoral degree or a master’s degree in hand). The GMAT is required for admission to the Stetson program, but a satisfactory GRE may be substituted for the GMAT.
The MSPharm and MBA online degree programs are separately administered by The University of Florida and Stetson University respectively, with each institution transferring in credit from the other to allow for the completion of both degrees in the amount of time it would otherwise take to complete only the MBA degree.
