The University of Florida is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate, bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, specialist, engineer and professional degrees.

Florida’s largest university – and the nation’s fourth-largest – traces its beginnings to a small seminary in 1853. Enrolling approximately 50,000 students annually, UF is home to 16 colleges and more than 150 research centers and institutes.

The U.S. News and World Report ranks the University of Florida College of Pharmacy among the top 10 pharmacy schools in the United States. The college has four campuses in Florida, educating 1,200 Doctor of Pharmacy students to help meet the demand for pharmacists in the state. The college also supports more than 100 graduate students studying in five areas of pharmacy research.

A leader in innovative pharmacy education programs, UF has received national recognition by the American Distance Education Consortium for "Excellence in Distance Education." Across the United States and internationally, 750 Working Professional Pharm.D. students and more than 500 online master’s students in forensic sciences and pharmacy regulation and policy, demonstrate that the college is one of the largest in the world.
